Jason Di’Mascio

Jason trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, before moving on to spend eleven years appearing in the West End. He appeared in “42nd Street” at the Drury Lane, “Ziegfeld” at the London Palladium, “Anything Goes” at the Prince Edward, “Me & My Girl” at the Adelphi and “Crazy For You” at the Prince Edward. He also appeared in “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Theatre Royal Plymouth and many various pantomimes.

After working professionally he turned to teaching and became a Tap Examiner about six years ago. He is Head of Tap at the Margaret Howard Theatre College and teaches at D & B, Stageworks and DNA Studios. He is a member of the Tap Faculty Committee and part of the teaching team for the new Grades.

He takes workshops and teaches at exhibitions in this country and around Europe and is regularly asked to lecture at congresses for the ISTD, IDTA, NATD, BBO, BTDA, RAD, Dance Arts International and Associated Tap Dancers. In the past he has been part of the adjudicating panel for The Marjorie Davies Awards and The Star Tap Awards for the ISTD and more recently, has also been asked to adjudicate at dance festivals.
