STAGEWORKS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE...
That we were the second school in the UK to achieve R. S (Recognised School) Status by the Council for Dance Education and Training.
To achieve this status Stageworks have had to formulate policy and adhere to the following criteria and procedure.
- To abide by the Councils Code of Professional Conduct for Teachers of Dance by designing our own Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Customer Service and Staff Development policies.
- Hold details of all members of staff’s up to date CRB checks ensuring they are through reputable umbrella organisations.
- Hold suitable contracts for staff members.
- Ensure that all tutors have the relevant qualifications or are working towards the qualifications with a Registered Awarding Body, government recognised teaching qualification, or have the relevant professional experience from teaching or the industry to benefit the students and satisfy the Principals aim for the class.
- Have a staff appraisal system in place.
- Let the public have access to Stageworks policies as well as its contact details, syllabus information, timetables and details of public performances. These are held in a file that can be asked for in paper form from behind reception, through our website or in our Theatre/ Ballet school prospectus.
- Hold up to date insurance and music licences as advised by UK Dance or an Awarding Body.
- Confirm with an appropriate financial adviser the need for annual accounts to be independently inspected or audited.
