DANCE SCHOOL TROUPES
These troupes are by audition only and it is necessary that all members attend three graded disciplines with our school, including ballet.  To date our troupes have danced on television and in the West End over nine times.  We have also been selected to dance internationally, at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as many other public events and charity fund raisers and have won many festivals. These groups are used to represent the youth element of our school.

TRANSCEND & ARTS AWARD QUALIFICATION
As well as training in the various Contemporary techniques, dancers will explore methods of choreography and increase their awareness of movement intention and understanding. The company will be guided to discover themselves as people, dancers and creators and be taught to work with personal emotion, as well as creative expression and understanding through movement. It’s ideal for those studying or preparing for GCSE / A Level Dance. Transcend also offers the Arts Award, a qualification demonstrating your interest in developing your artistic and leadership skills in a chosen area. Highly recommended for any performers CV.

MUSICAL THEATRE COMPANY
Stageworks knows that there is a wealth of talent across our area and the Musical Theatre Company was established to get them together to create a high quality annual production to showcase local young people and what they can achieve.

The Musical Theatre Company opened in December 2008 with its first production of West Side Story in May 2009. The Company is for performers over the14 years of age. Existing Company members can continue from year to year but must re audition if they leave.
Each year the Company hold auditions for new members to join.

The Company differs to many youth productions because as well as the experience of participating in the production, successful auditionees will be given tuition in dance, acting and singing technique to support their performance abilities and open them to new skills.

It is the intention behind The Musical Theatre Company for the cast to have as much of a professional experience as possible and the easy option is never taken. Singers learn to act, dancers to sing, actors to dance etc. We work up to the highest abilities and not downward so that the cast recognise the reward of achievement through hard work and to get the best result the Company can.

It is an exciting and fun experience for a young performer and rewards you with new skills, performance experience and friendships

TEACHING EXAMINATIONS
Pupils are encouraged to work through the examination Grades to teacher status, teacher training is given and the necessary work experience.  Teacher training and experience is by agreement.  A first aid course and police check is also required.

FULL TIME TRAINING COLLEGE
